Department Responsibilities:

The Operations Department oversees all public works infrastructure, as well as the operation and maintenance of all recreational facilities, parks and municipal properties. It consists of two divisions; Parks and Recreation and Public Works.
The Parks and Recreation division is responsible for the Meridian Credit Union and Centennial Arenas, Town Buildings (Court House, Community Centre, Queenston Library), Parks, Sports Fields (Centennial and Memorial), Niagara Lake Shore Cemetery, and the Community Awareness Guide.
The Public Works division is responsible for constructing, operating, and maintaining the Town's public works infrastructure including water, sewer, roads, municipal drains and irrigation systems.

The Town has partnered with Service Line Warranties of Canada to offer protection for homeowners for external water service lines. Residential properties within Niagara-on-the-Lake that front on municipal-owned water mains may receive a letter regarding insurance for the portion of the water service on private property. The protection is voluntary and available at affordable monthly or annual prices. For questions about this service, or to enroll, please contact SLWC at 1-866-922-9004 or visit www.slwofc.ca or follow this link.
